Hi, I had completed Diploma in Automobile Engineering from KSOU in the year 2013. I heard that KSOU is not valid university. Is it true? Is KSOU approved by DEC? Am I eligible to apply for government jobs with Diploma from KSOU?

KSOU stands for Karnataka State Open University. This university is recognized by University Grants Commission and Distance Education council for certificates, diploma and degree course in various streams.

During the year 2012-13, some of the courses offered by this university were de recognized by UGC. You can check whether your courses was recognized or not in order to know validity of your diploma.

AICTE does not hold diploma and degree in engineering as valid for government and other higher courses.
