As per the latest Information , 2015 the Largest State Co-Operative Bank of
India 2015 is the STATE BANK OF INDIA. It is the oldest bank and still exist in India. It originated as the BANK OF CALCUTTA in June 1806. In 1809 , it was renamed as the BANK OF BENGAL. And the merger of three banks which
includes BANK OF BOMBAY , BANK OF MADRAS , BANK OF CALCUTTA
came to be known as STATE BANK OF INDIA in 1955.
