Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), Tamilnadu is inviting applications for the posts of Assistant Public Prosecutor, Grade –II (2009 – 2010) in Tamil Nadu General Service with the Pay Scale of Rs.15600- 39100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (PB3). There are 83 vacancies in total. Following are details of eligibility, selection procedure and application method:

Qualifications: Applicants must have B.L. Degree from any regognised institution or university. They must be a Member of the Bar and must have had active practice in Criminal Courts for at least 5 years. Candidates must have knowledge of Tamil. All the candidates appointed as Assistant Public Prosecutor, Grade –II shall undergo training for 6 months. Age must be below 34 years as on 01-07-2011. No age limit for reserved candidates.

Selection will be based on Written Examination and Oral Test. Examination fee is Rs. 125. Candidates can apply online or offline. Offline OMR application forms also available in selected post offices across Tamil Nadu and at Sales counter of TNPSC. Filled in application forms along with required enclosures should reach 'Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, No.1 Greams Road, Commercial Taxes Annexe Building, Chennai – 600 006'

Important Dates: Last date for receipt of applications 15-03-2011

Date of Written Examination:

1. Law Paper - I : 23-07-2011 (10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M.)
2. Law Paper - II : 23-07-2011 (2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.)
3. Law Paper - III : 24-07-2011 (10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M.)
4. Law Paper -IV : 24-07-2011 (2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.)
