Sir/Madam, I have completed my 12th and now studying in BTech course. I want to join Indian Air Force. I am from Mechanical Engineering department. Kindly let me know about the posts available for my in Indian Air Force after my BTech?

Indian Air Force recruits candidates through AFCAT Exam that is conducted every year.

As of now, AFCAT Online applications are not released.

To apply for AFCAT exam, candidate must have completed graduation. As you are a B.Tech (graduation) candidate, so you can apply for AFCAT Exam.

In this year, AFCAT Online applications were started on 16th June 2018 and closed on 15th July 2018.

There were 182 vacancies that were to be filled by AFCAT exam for the current year.

Here are the details:

• Flying (206/19F/SSC/M &W)= SSC - 42 Posts
• Ground Duty (Technical) [205/19T/PC/M = AE(L) - PC-22, SCC-30 Posts
• Ground Duty (Technical) [205/19T/SSC/M &W]= AE(M) - PC-10, SCC-14Posts
• Ground Duty (Non-Technical) [205/19G/PC/ M] - Admin: PC-08, SCC-12 Posts
• Ground Duty (Non-Technical) [205/19G/SSC/ M& W] - Logistics: PC-01, SCC-04; Account: PC-03, SSC-05; Education: PC-03, SSC-04
