If you aim is to do MBA Course, then for this you have to complete your Graduation degree in any discipline form a recognised University and Must have scored minimum 50% marks in your graduation.

Because If you have scored minimum 50% marks in graduation then you are eligible to apply for CAT Entrance examination.

Minimum percentage required to get admission in MBA through GATE test is 50%.

But you have scored only 45% marks so you are not eligible to take admission in

top B-schools of India. You can check your state colleges which offer MBA

inspite of less than 50% marks or which conducts their own test for the

admission in MBA course.

You will not get admission in MBA on the basis of graduation marks.

You have to give MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, SNAP, ATMA, MAH-CET etc.

So I would suggest you to prepare for MAT and XAT, but not CAT.

After cracking those exams, you will get to admit in the colleges on the basis of the percentage obtained in those exams...

Anyone who has completed his or her graduation in any field is eligible for MBA. Graduation marks does not required for MBA admission. So you are eligible for applying for MBA.

The entrance exam marks matter only...

So prepare for those exams to study MBA.

My friend to get admission in MBA colleges you have to qualify in entrance exams like- CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP etc.

Eligibility for MBA entrance exams:-

1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

2.Candidate must have secure 50% aggregate in graduation to appear in CAT exam.
For other entrance exams no such percentage criteria is mentioned.

3.Final year candidates can also apply for these entrance exams..

So, you will not be able to apply for CAT exam, but you can apply for other entrance exams..
Go for those exams..
depending on the percentile in that entrance exam you will get MBA colleges.

Firstly please see whether you belong to SC/ST category, because in that case most top universities in India that accept the candidates through Common Admission Test are open for you.

The eligibility criteria to appear for the Common Admission Test is 50 percent marks in the graduation. However candidates belonging to reserve category can also appear with 45 percent marks.

In that case your first priority should be Common Admission Test. Some of the best universities in the country including Indian Institute of Management (IIM) accept the candidates for MBA through the Common Admission Test.

However if you belong to general category then you can not appear for the Common Admission Test. In such situation your best options are either Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). You can appear for both these entrance exams.

Management Aptitude Test is conducted 4 times in a year and any candidate with graduation degree can appear for it. There is no percentage criteria. This makes you eligible for the Management Aptitude Test.

XAT is perhaps best option considering the fact that very prestigious univerisites offer admission through this entrance exam. The requirement is graduation degree to appear for Xavier Aptitude Test.

MBA - Master of Business Administration is a two years post Graduation course and can be pursed after Graduation through entrance exam like CAT/MAT/XAT etc.

CAT - Common Admission Test conducted by IIM - The eligible candidate having Graduation Degree in any stream with 50% marks(45% marks for SC/ST candidate) is eligible to apply.

MAT - Management Aptitude Test conducted by AIMA - The eligible candidate having Graduation Degree in any stream with no criteria for percentage of marks is eligible to apply.

So scoring less then 50% marks, one can apply for MBA as mentioned above.

The acronym MBA stands for the ,MBA stands for the Master of Business Administration.For this professional course ,you should have done bachelor's degree in any discipline form a recognized university.

After that you will have to give the entrance examinations like CAT,MAT,XAT etc depending upon in which college you want to take the admission for this course.

For the CAT that is Common Admission test ,you must have 50% in bachelor's degree and there is an 5% marks relaxations for the Sc/st .

So ,if you are from SC/ST category then you can give CAT examinations.if you are from other categories then you cannot give CAT exams but can give MAT,XAT exams for pursuing master's degree in business administration.

There is no bar on no of attempts for the entrance exams.

But brother I today got call from Amity university and when they asked me about my graduation percentage I said 44 they replied that you are not eligible for MBA despite my MBA percentile was 76...please answer.

Yes you can apply for MBA as only AICTE approved universities require 50% & there is no need of AICTE approval for MBA. Their are few universities running MBA with only UGC approval & student with below 50% marks can enroll.
