ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1) Age limit- should be between 21 and 30. 2) Should be an Indian citizen. 3) Degree in Engineering, final year students can also apply on provisional basis. Additionally, the candidates have to be physically fit as per the guidelines of UPSC. There is no cut-off mark prescribed for writing the IES exam. It depends upon how well you perform in the exam. Indian Engineering Service(IES) exam is taken by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year generally in the month of june or july...... the minimum eligibility criteria for the exam is, a candidate should have engineering graduate in civil, mechancal, electrical and electronics and telecommunication technology or equivalent degree from any recognised university..... age limit for this exam is, a candidate's age should have between 21-30 in the case of general, for OBC 33 and for SC/ST 35 yrs... for further details you can visit the official website of UPSC; www.upsc.gov.in you can also see the attatchments for details... |

There are some limited field from where you can appear for this examination.
So here is the details : Educational Qualification : The candidate must have a graduation degree from any recognized university but they should have the stream from this below : 1.Telecommunication 2.Computer Science 3.Electrical 4.Information Technology 5.Electrical The final year candidate can also apply for this. Age Limit : The age of the candidate must be within 21 to 30 years. But SC/ST candidate there is 5 year age relaxation and for OBC there is 3 year age relaxation. |

If you are interested in IES examination then you will have to fulfill these criteria : Academic qualification : Only those students having background of ECE,EE,CIVIL,CSE are allowed to sit for IES examination. The candidate should have minimum 60% throughout his/her academic career. Age criteria : The age of the candidate must be within 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation for SC,ST and OBC candidates. IES Exam is being organized by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.
By this exam, the candidates can be placed in various Engineering services of India like Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Here is the eligibility criteria. Academic Qualification : One should have completed Graduation in Engineering with any of the stream. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Engineering course can also apply for this Exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Engineering course by the time they appear for Interview. Age criteria : Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. Number of attempts : For General category : Maximum of 4 times For OBC category : Maximum of 7 times For SC or ST category : No limit on number of attempts. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, you can have good preparation for this exam and crack it. wish you all the best. |
