Minimum percentage required in B.Sc to get admission in MCA?

I have 40% in my B.Sc. So, what are the chances of getting admission in any colleges for pursuing MCA? Further, should I do MCA or M.Sc in Computer Science? Which has more opportunities?

MCA is Master in Computer Application and it is three yesr course from a recognized university.

The required minimum aggregate to appear for examination varies with institute. So, kindly visit official website to get detail about the required aggregate.

For NIMCET minimum required aggregate is 60%. You have to appear and qualify in examination for admission.

Eligibility of MCA course:

Candidates should complete bachelor course in any discipline and should have Mathematics as a compulsory subject. (No minimum percentage required )

Procedure:

Many good universities like IGNOU conduct entrance examinations to give admissions in MCA course. You have to pass the entrance exams to get admission.

*** MCA and M.Sc both courses have a wide range of career opportunities. As a B.Sc pass candidate, you are eligible to apply in both courses. So, do the course in which you have utmost interest.

** M.C.A. or Master of Computer Applications is a postgraduate Information Technology course.

** The minimum percentage required in graduation for the admission of Master of Computer Applications course is 50%.

** As per your percentage of marks in B.Sc course, I think you are not eligible to get admission in government college MCA admission so you should try to get admission in private college.

It is tough to get admission in MCA on the basis of aggregate in bachelor degree or to appear for the entrance examination.

The common minimum required qualification to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. Candidate must have scored minimum 50% aggregate in bachelor degree with Mathematics as main paper in bachelor degree or in 12th ( varies with entrance examination ).

So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination to get admission.
