If you have completed 12th standard with above 60% marks then you are eligible for Postal assistant Exam .Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years old.You must know your local language very clearly .

Question are coming from General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability section so prepare well .They conduct also computer typing skill test so be careful on it .

Postal Department is one of the largest and more than five lack employees works in this department.

Following are the Departments for Postal Assistants:-

• Army Postal Service
• Circle office & Regional Office
• Foreign post offices
• Mail Motor Services
• Post Offices
• Postal Stores Depots
• Railway Mail Service
• Saving Bank Control Organization

If you want to sit for the Postal Assistant Exam then you need to pass class 12 board exam of a recognized board. Along with that you need to have English as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.

To work freely without any hindrance it is important to know how to speak and write in the local language of the State where you are intending to apply. But if you have studied Hindi at matriculation level then you need not worry about anything.

Here is the selection procedure of Postal Assistant Exam:-

1. 40% Weightage to Class XII Result
2. 50% Weightage to Aptitude Test
3. 10% Weightage to Typing Test

Exam Pattern:-

In the aptitude test there will be 100 questions of 100 marks. So each question will carry one mark and you will get two hours to complete the paper. Questions will come from the following sections: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning and Analytical Ability. In the typing test you need to write either English paragraph of 450 words or you can write Hindi paragraph of 375 words.

Salary:- The pay-scale of Postal Assistants varies from Rs. 5200/- to 20,200/- . There is also a pay grade of Rs.2400/-.
