Can outside state students apply for WBJEE?

To appear for WBJEE you have to be a resident of west bengal or must have been residing in the State of West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2010 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in the State of West Bengal. so if you fullfill the criteria then you would be eligible for WBJEE.

no outside student does not eligible for WBJEE as it is applicable for the students of westbengal as the name itself says

Candidate residing in another state will also be eligible provided, his/her parents are a permenent resident of the state of west Bengal.

Outside state students can sit in the WBJEE exam,if they or their parents have been residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years.

There are such provisions for all the branches of study like medical,paramedical,engineering,pharmacy etc.

yes off course you are eligible for WBJEE.they want Indian citizen from any state so you will give west bengal joint entrance examination

So, the Other state Candidates can not apply for this Exams.

Domicile of West Bengal is compulsory, if you want to apply for this exams. Other state Candidates can not apply for this exams.

No, Only West Benalies an apply fo WBJEE, Or theo one who had to prove that he was residing in West Bengal for the past 10 years...

I am glad to say that you can apply for WBJEE only if you have your domicial certificate of WEST BENGAL
If you are belong to WB and also not having certificate than you are not eligibla for WBJEE..........

Outside state students are eligible.From UP,Jharkhand,Bihar,Chhattisgarh every year so many students are appearing for WBJEE and taking admission.Reservation for outsider is limited.

there are not mentioned in the information brochure that outside of west bengal student can not appear in the WBJEE. in that case i think student from outside of west bengal also may apply.


even i have seen in previous year that there are so many engineering student taken admission through WBJEE but they are out side of west bengal. so i don't think that there is any restriction that only west bengal student can appear in WBJEE.

Yes, outside state student can apply for WBJEE.Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering / Technology / Architecture/Medical/Dental and Pharmacy in Universities/Colleges in West Bengal .

Mr JAMESS is correct. Engineering students say they can apply even if they do not have the West Bengal domicile certificate. There probably is such a restriction for medical aspirants.

outsiders(i.i.those students who are not hailing from west bengal) are eligible for wbjee.But,only if you qualify the exam ,outsiders during counselling do not get admission in government colleges(except Jadavpur University and Chittpur engineering college). But all other private/self financed institutes are open for them.

Friend, outside student can apply for this exam but they can get only private college not government college. For admission in the government college candidate have domicile of west Bengal. For more information you can visit the website of west Bengal. all the best.

sir i have not appeared for wbjee but i want to get an admission in kolkata itself in B.Tech.please tell me what should i do now regarding my admission.

Hey there are two ways to get addmission in kolkata:
1>first give wbjee and get selected in it and take that college.
2>10% quote is there in evry college though aieee ranking you can just go through it.
