Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conduct TNPSC VAO exam to recruit Village Administrative Officers.

If you have 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

I have attached the Question papers of VAO Exam so please check it out.Observe the pattern of these Question papers.

TNPSC VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:

~You must have higher secondary school leaving certificate or its equivalent when applying for this exam.

~If you have completed higher education but do not have SSLC certificate or its equivalent then you are not eligible to sit for this exam.

~You should be well versed in tamil language as that is again an important criteria

~Your age may vary from 21 and 30 years. This is the upper age limit for the general category. But as far as the reserved category is concerned the upper age limit is 40.

~It is expected that you will be physically fit for this exam therefore you have to produce a physical fitness certificate in the form of TNMS, TNJMS or TNSS.

~The selection procedure includes written exam and personal interview session. The duration of the paper is three hours.

~The question paper of VAO will come in two languages: english and tamil and the total paper will be of 300 marks out of which a minimum of 90 marks should be your target as that is the qualifying marks.

~The TNPSC VAO written exam will be going to held on September 30, 2012 from 10 am to 1 pm.

selection process

if you are eligible & applied successfully will be called for written examination test. According to the marks obtained, merit candidates will be selected and after appointment pay scale will be given for VAO post Rs. 5200 - Rs. 20200 + GP.

Application fee for this exam is Rs. 125 (UR) and Rs. 50 for those candidates who are from reservation category.

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer conducted by TNPSC every year.


A candidate should have completed their Graduation Degree in any stream so you are eligible for it...

Age limit between 21-30 years. there is a relaxation available on upper age for OBC and SC/ST category....
