Are PCM candidates allowed to apply and write the NEET examination?

Hi, I will be completing my 12th Board exams next year from Science stream with subject combination of PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). I heard that only PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) candidates are allowed to write the NEET exam. Is it true? Can't I also write the NEET exam with PCM subject combination?

You are not eligible to appear for the NEET examination with PCM in std 12th.

NEET is conducted by NTA. It is conducted every year. The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB with minimum 50% aggregate.

There is no upper age limit to get admission in the course.

So, you are not eligible to appear in the examination with PCM.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and the minimum education required for appearing in the same examination is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Biotechnology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate in PCB group from a recognized board of education.

So, having opted for PCM group for your Class 12th studies, you are not eligible for appearing in NEET as Biology/Biotechnology is compulsory in Class 12th for appearing in the same examination.

For more details regarding the same examination, you can refer to the link www.ntaneet.nic.in.

NEET is National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. It is conducted by NTA for admission in MBBS and other medical courses.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB as main paper. So, you are not eligible to appear in the examination and not eligible to get admission in the medical courses.

The minimum age limit is 17 years and there is no upper age limit to appear in the examination.

No, students having opted for PCM group for their intermediate degree course are not allowed for appearing in NEET, as the minimum education required to appear in NEET is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks (or 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in aggregate in PCB group subjects from a recognised board.

For more information regarding NEET eligibility, you can visit its official website www.ntaneet.nic.in.

No, you are not eligible to appear for the examination.
NEET stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test and the national level test conducted by CBSE every year. The examination is conducted for admission in MBBS and BDS course.
It is necessary to have physics, chemistry and biology as Main paper.
So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination without PCB.

If you fulfill below given criteria, then you are eligible for NEET entrance exam.
Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognised board with physics, chemistry and biology subject are eligible for NEET exam. At 10+2 level you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together.
Your minimum age should be 17 years.
