Re: Percentage required in Graduation to join Indian Military Academy?
There are various ways for a graduate candidate to join Indian Military.
If the candidate has completed or in final year of B.Tech course then University Entry Scheme or TGC(Technical Graduate Course) entry will be best option. For Permanent Commission, only male candidate can opt for TGC if his age is between 20-27 years and for Short Service Commission, both male and female candidate between 19-25 years of age can apply. For University Entry Scheme, only male candidate between 18-24 years of age can apply. Notification for TGC comes twice in a year in month of April and October while that for University Entry Scheme once a year in month of August. NCC candidates need not to apply for written examination. They only have to go for SSB interview through Special Entry. Other way to join Indian Army is through CDS(Combined Defence Service). UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts CDSE for recruitment in Indian Military Academy(IMA), Indain Naval Academy(INA), Officers Training Academ(OTA) or Air Force Academy(AFA). CDSE is conducted twice in a year. Female candidate can only opt for OTA. Candidate must be of age 19-25 years. Only male candidate who has completed graduation with Physics and Mathematics in Higher Secondary are eligible for Air Force Academy. There is no minimum percentage required to apply for CDS. |

You should be an engineering graduate or final year of engineering in order to join Indian military academy through TGC else you have the chance to get selected there through NDA or CDSE as it requires intermediate as minimum academic qualification.
