Is a Ph.D. degree in Music from CMJ University, Shillong valid as per UGC Rule?

Yes PhD degree in music from CMJ university is valid because this university is approved by UGC.

Eligibility for PhD in Music:-

The candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Music or any equivalent course with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

The candidates should possess a passion for pursuing research work in music.

Admissions are based on varied criteria such as a student's capability for the music profession and its program.

As the University is approved by UGC , thus the degree attained from the university is valid.
The CMJ university is duly notified by UGC as State private university under section 2(f) and empowered to award degrees .
And the candidate those who have done any course from the university can apply for Government jobs also.
