Possibility of appearing for IIT JEE exams being from Commerce stream?

Can a 12th Commerce student is eligible to write IIT JEE after taking distance 10+2 in subjects like Physics and Chemistry? If yes, then let me know when should I start applying for IIT JEE and how much is the application cost?

JEE refers to Joint Entrance Examination and to appear in the same examination the minimum education required is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognised board of education.

So, having pursued Class 12th in Commerce stream you are not eligible for appearing in JEE even if you opt for Physics and Chemistry in distance mode education as PCM group subjects are required as main subjects in order to apply for JEE.

For more FAQs related to JEE eligibility, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.

No, Commerce students cannot apply for IIT JEE exam (now JEE Advanced exam).

Also, to be eligible for this exam, student must have passed/appearing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as primary subjects. In absence of any one subject, you are not eligible for IIT JEE Exam.

Additionally, as per new rules, you must qualify JEE Main exam first then only you can apply for JEE Advanced Exam.

Application fee of JEE Advanced is INR 1300 + GST.

To get admission in IIT JEE, candidates have to appear and qualify in JEE Main and Advanced.

The required eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM.

So, candidates passed 12th in Commerce stream are not eligible to get admission in the course.

Candidates from Commerce stream are not eligible to appear for IIT JEE.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM as main paper.

So, you have to choose any other course to pursue in bachelor degree.

Students with Commerce background are not eligible to pursue B.Tech course.

So, you are not eligible for it. The minimum required eligibility is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM as main paper.

Entrance examination is conducted for IIT JEE and NTA.

So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination.

To appear for IIT-JEE you must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as your subjects in your class 12th.

This means a student from a commerce stream is not eligible to appear for the JEE examination.
