Possibility to migrate from 1st year distance to 2nd year regular?

Sir, I had taken admission in B.A 1st year through distance mode of education (Directorate of Distance Education). Can I migrate to regular from 2nd year onward?

No, you have taken admission in to a distance mode course and it is not possible to convert a distance mode course to a regular course during the second year. You need to start fresh from 1st year if you are not willing to pursue a distance mode course, which is not a wise decision because it will waste your one year.

Regular courses are available for admission and the mode of admission is different. For distance mode courses there is no requirement for merit and for regular courses at a good college, you need merit for admission. Hence, distance. mode to regular mode conversion in between the course is not possible.

The ability to migrate from distance education to regular mode of education varies depending on the policies and regulations of the specific university or educational institution you are affiliated with. It is important to note that policies can differ between institutions, so it's best to contact the Directorate of Distance Education or the concerned department at your university to get accurate information regarding migration from distance education to regular mode.

Typically, universities may have specific guidelines and processes for such migrations, including eligibility criteria and the availability of seats in regular programs. Some universities may allow students to transfer to regular mode if they meet certain conditions, such as academic performance criteria or the availability of seats in the desired program.

It's important to reach out to the university or department as early as possible to understand their specific policies, deadlines, and procedures for migration. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the possibility of migrating to regular mode from your second year onward.
