Since you did not do the project then, your degree is incomplete since 2006. Not only that if you had chosen any subject for the project back then in 2006, then that also becomes invalid now. Your project topic, your guide all has to be fresh. Now getting a guide in the same university where you left of 10 years ago, might be difficult.
All the guides will be interested in mentoring freshers. The thing that will help you get readmitted from where you left is your registration number. If you have a registration number, then you have to go to the university where you did MCA and you will have to show them that number. Explain them the whole situation. They will help you give the necessary forms to fill up for admission from the third year.
But assigning a project according to your suitability and assigning a guide too will be the duty of the MCA department heads. If they don't agree to do so, it will be very difficult for you to get your degree. So first go to the MCA department and consult about the project with them.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
