I have completed my BBA. I read somewhere that even non-science backgrounds candidates can join Merchant Navy. Is it true? Am I also eligible?

You are not eligible to join Merchant Navy without non-science background. The required eligibility to pursue merchant Navy course is that candidate must have passed std 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main paper.

Only candidates with science stream are eligible to join Merchant Navy. The selection will be through entrance test and physical test.

There are different types of jobs available in the Merchant Navy but all of them require class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths with at least 60% marks in class 12th. Hence, if you have not studied these subjects in school, you will not be eligible to apply for the job.

BBA qualification is not required for Merchant Navy jobs and qualifications such as BTech Marine Engineering and BSc Nautical Science are required for such jobs.
