Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II are recruited through a entrance exam for which forms and details are given in the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs. The ACIO Grade II is a job in Intelligence Bureau.


Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India's first intelligence agency which was established way back in the 19th century by the British Empire. At that time its role was to monitor the Russian troops movement in Afghanistan.


After independence Intelligence Bureau came under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs India and was given the job to gather external and internal intelligence. It failed misrebly following which a new external agency was created.


Since then IB is gathering internal intelligence for India and has given credit to burst various terror plots. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II are only offered after appearing for a entrance exam. You can check the eligibility criteria below to see whether you are eligible or not.



Eligibility

1. You must be of Indian origin.

2. A Bachelor degree in any stream.

3. Age limit for ACIO Grade II is 27 years.

4. The age limit is extended by 30 years for OBC.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates in age limit.
