Probationary officer exam while doing last semseter of MBA? Bank PO officers salary structure? Procedure?
I am rakesh agarwal. Right now i am doing full time MBA specializing in finance and marketing from amity b-school ahmedabad.
From JAN 2010 i ll be in my last sem of MBA so from june 2010 i ll be MBA in finance and marketing so am i eligible to be probationary officer as i complete my MBA. And what could be my starting pay and what is the process i need to go through to get this job. And is it possible for me to get enroll for this job right now so that as soon as i finish my mba i directly switch to this job without searching for other jobs in the industry… Thank you Regards, Rakesh Agarwal |

to apply for the PO in any Bank you must have completed your garduation only with good marks while you have completing MBA and you are eligible to fill the form for PO exam the exam detail is notified in the employment newspaper and on the website of the Bank after completing written exam there is interview and after passing it you are eligible for the PO
salary structure is vary on the bank to bank. well the salary is according to first grade. |

you must be a graduate to apply for the po job

yes you can fill the form if you are in last semester in mba. but you have a good score in graduate or in class 12th also. 50% in graduate and 60% in 12th.

hey,
for po u are applicable after graduation, but since u r going to complete your mba that will provide you an edge to other students..u can search for po applications online as every bank has its own exam and more or less there pattern of exam is same... same is applicable to salary..it depends upon the bank..but the starting pay will start from Rs 14k(approx) including incentives... Essential Academic Qualifications : General and other Candidates : 60% aggregate marks in class XII or Diploma course after 10th standard AND 55% aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of Pass Course or Honours Course. SC/ ST/ PWD : 55% aggregate marks in class XII or Diploma course after 10th standard AND 50% aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of Pass Course or Honours Course. The test duration of objective type test will be 2 hours and will consist of : i) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.) ii) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers iii) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation iv) Test of Reasoning (High Level) PAY : Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. They will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 10000/- in the scale of Rs. 10000-470/6-12820-500/ 3-14320-560/7-18240 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. They will also be eligible for D.A., H.R.A. & C.C.A. as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly emoluments of Probationary Officers, including D.A., H.R.A. and C.C.A., are approximately Rs. 17,600/- at Metropolitan centres. this is the information about SBI bank po ,all other banks also follow similar structure. |

dear, many public sector and private banks recruit mba directly in manager grade...if u sit for any PO exam, the process of recruitment will take almost 8-10 months to complete....the salary is around 20 k for PO which is due to be revised...after 2 year as PO u will become asst branch manager/asst manager.

i have completed AME(AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING)but because of the level of corruption i have left that.i am now pursuing b com and would be completing first year. i am interested in banking and want to be a p.o. as i would be eligible for that . if i get a job there then would in 2 to 4 years i would be getting promotions and a good salary package???? and do private(international) banks have p.o.
please help me in this topic.. |

hi i am doing MCA.I am now last year of mca.so can i give p.o. exam?is there any different criteria for mca?i have completed graduation(Bsc.I.T.).so if i give po entrance now will it be considered on bsc or mca?what is the minimum salary for mca if they will become p.o.?

dear friend,
yes you can give the bank p.o exams, but for this you must have atleast 55% marks in the master degree. otherwise you can not apply. |

is there a bank which offers me after degree that is ......if i get through the exam conducted by the bank and it offers me mba in banking and finance too along with my job training..so that my mba is done as wel in that same time at the end of two years ill be a assst manager after ma probation period

myself sandeep am pursuing b.com final year and my last sem ex starts frm 2nd may and ends on 17 may, in 12th i got 60% and nw in degree my agreggate is 62% so aftr finishing my ex, wt i should do the next and wt is the procedr to go for po ex. and is der any coaching cls plz suggest me the rght.... |

You are absolutely eligible for bank PO exams.
The eligibility criteria for bank PO are: 1) You have to show your degree of passing by the end of the time decided by the bank authorities. 2) You should have a minimum of 55% marks throughout your graduation (relaxation for SC/ST) 3) You should have a degree in computer from NIT's or other institutes. 4) Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years. So apply for bank jobs that are going to be held in the upcoming days. Your salary when you will join the bank will vary from bank to bank. But it will be within 14,500 to 30,000. Bank PO and Bank Clerk exams are conducted by IBPS for 19 public sector banks. There are two basic eligibility criteria - Eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS CWE - 1. Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. 2. Age - 20 -30 years for PO. So, you have already completed your graduation and you are doing PG.
