i am doing my mba final year in hr & mrkteing stream so i want to do phd in marketing.so sir please can u say the process of applying for NET entrance exam for doing phd

NET examination is conducted by University Grant Commission.
The examination is conducted twice a year; One in June and another in December.
The advertisement for the June term exam, is published in March and
the advertisement for the December term exam, is published in September.

As you are a final year student so you can apply for the exam the June-2012 examination.
The minimum eligibility criteria for NET examination is, Master's degree from
a Govt. of India recognized institute/university with at least 55% marks.
SC/ST/PH candidates get relaxation of 5% in the the eligibility criteria.

You can apply for the exam once the advertisement for the exam is published.
The application submission is done online only.

For this criteria is:-

Candidate pass gradaution
minimum 50% mark secured

here i attach one question pattern of NET:-

iThe National Eligibility Test (NET),conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for
lectureship and
for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) .

The Test is conducted twice(months of June and December) in a year in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science like SET(State Eligibility Test).

Eligibility:
1:You should have Master Degree from a recognized University and Colleges,you can also apply for the exam if your Result Awaited category, if you are appearing or has appeared in your final year of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination.

2:You have to secure minimum 55% of marks in your Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination
3:There is no age limit for applying for lectureship.

4:If you apply for Junior Research Fellowship ,your age should not more than 28 years.

Yes, You are eligible for NET exam.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

UGC NET consists of three papers

1) General studies (50 objective questions)
2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

Second paper will check only after qualifying the first paper and third paper will checked after qualifying the second paper.

YOU must have post graduation in the subject with at least 55%.

after that you can apply for the NET EXAM which held twice a year .
age limit- no age limit.
The exam consist three papers.
Syllabus
paper I:
It is a objective type paper.
General knowledge
Current affairs
Aptitude and reasoning
It is for 100 marks
paper II
Core subjects
it is for 100 marks
Paper III
Selected core subjects
It is for 200 marks
Total marks are : 400

after clearing this you just have to wait of the college in which vacancy of your subject has arised
college time to time publish there vacancy in college.
you cabn apply in such college for lecturership if they find you the right person for the college they can appoint you as their lecturer in the college.

i am doing mba in finance,...can i go for net exam next session..
if yes,what would be my elective subjects..???
