What is the procedure to become a pilot after inter? Is there any entrance exam?

For becoming a pilot, you need to get admission into commercial pilot training institutes like:

• Government Aviation Training Institute, Bhubaneswar
• Coimbatore Flying Club, Coimbatore
• Indian Aviation Academy, Mumbai
• Co-operative Flying Club Ltd, Jamshedpur
• All India Institute of Aeronautics, (AIIA), Dehradun
• Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy, Secunderabad
• Ahmedabad Aviation and Aeronautics, Ahmedabad
• Government Flying Training School, Bangalore
• Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, Bareilly
• West Bengal Flying Training Institute, Kolkata

For applying into these institutes,

• You must have passed 10+2 from PCM stream with at least 50% percentage.
• You must have at least 18 years of age.

Eyesight of 6/6.
Fluent in English.

Additionally, you need to clear entrance that contain these stages.

• Written Exam (contains General Knowledge, Maths, English)
• Interview
• Mental Balance, Situation Handling, Medical Test

On merit basis, you will be selected for training.
