sir,i am studying in BE[EEE] pre final year.i want procedure to join IAF in technical group

You can not join the technical Group of Indian AirForce being a prefinal year candidate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

AFCAT stands for the AirForce Common Admission Test. This entrance exam is conducted twice every year by Indian Airforce.

This exam is conducted for selection of candidates to:

>>Flying Branch

>>Technical Branch

>>Ground Duty Branch

Eligibility criteria:

Academic Qualification and age criteria:

>>For flying branch, minimum of bachelor's degree in technology or engineering or bachelor's degree in any discipline with mathematics and physics at 10+2 level.

Minimum of 60% aggregate marks is needed.

The age limit for Flying branch is 20-24 years.

>>For Technical branch, you must have done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology of four years duration. Even in final year of bachelor's degree can apply for the exam.

So, you can apply for AFCAT during your final year of engineering.

The age limit is 20-26 years.

Examination pattern:

It consists of two papers:

1. First paper contains questions from

>>Verbal ability and numerical ability.

>>General awareness.

>>Military aptitude.

>>Reasoning.

2. Engineering Knowledge test: It will contain questions from your engineering stream.
