KCET stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test and is infact an entrance exam for getting entry into several undergraduate medical/dental/engineering/architecture courses in various universities in karnataka.This exam is conducted every year.This exam is conducted by KEA(Karnataka Exam Authority).

• The admission through KCET are generally opened for karnataka resident student.
• However there are some management quota for non-karnataka students.

RESERVATION OF SEAT FOR KARNATAKA RESIDENT STUDENTS

• 100% seats reserved in Government colleges ( Based on KCET 2011 score )
• 95% seats reserved in Aided colleges ( Based on KCET 2011 score )
• 50% seats reserved in Private Un-Aided colleges for Non-Minority ( Based on KCET 2011 score )
• 45% seats reserved in Private Un-Aided colleges for Minority ( Based on KCET 2011 score )
  

Eligibility Criteria for KCET

• Atleast 45% in 10+2 for General category student and 40% for sc/st/obc.

There is no need to sit in any kannada exam .You can get admission in Management Quota.

Seats In Karnataka:

The Total Seats In The Karnataka Colleges Have been Divided as under:

♦ 35% of Seats for Comed-K
♦ 45% of Seasts for CET (which you are not eligible)
♦ 5% for Minority
♦ And the Remaining 15% seats fo the Management Quota.

Procedure For Other State Students:

• Other State Students Have to Crack Comed-K Exam and Participate in the Counselling Rounds wherein the seats are alloted based on merit.
• Or Still better and Easier, you can take admission through management quota.

PS: The Fees Structure for Comed-K/Management is very high and may cost you lakhs.

friend for appearing in kcet u have to have domicile of karnataka otherwise u can't appear for kcet. through kcet there are admission in both govt. and pvt. professional colleges in karnataka.on the other hand if u are not having domicile u may appear for comedk exam which give admission to pvt. professional colleges in karnataka only.

I studied in maharastra up to 10th and i done my I and II puc in karnataka and my parents are from karnataka.

I am from Maharashtra 1to10 Maharashtra but I learn 1and 2 PUC in Karnataka CET I also Kannada language
