what is the minimum qualification to be acustom officer and what is the time period of course ?

It Depends on the company which you want work,

But Degree is preferrable

for better job profile it is better to enter in this field with minimum bachelor degree.

preferably, b.com or else.

Basic Qualifications

An individuals must meet the following basic qualifications before applying for a position as a Custom Protection Officer®:


•Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

•Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by your State

•Be able to work flexible schedules

•Have a high school diploma or GED

•Have reliable transportation

•Not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).

•Be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable

•Pass a State licensing test if you will be driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

•Be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if you were in the military

•Be able to successfully complete all training required for the position

•Be able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

•Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent

firstly you have to completed graduate in any subject then you get easily job as a post of acustom officer .......

the basic qualification required is graduate from any field,like science,engineering,arts etc

then you need to appear for exams and interview by different agencies for a suitable job.......

you should have Graduation Degree, you have to clear any competitive exam like UPSC, MPSC and age is 28th

if you want to become a custom officer working under indian government then you must be above 19 yrs of age and must have completed graduation and have scored above 55% of marks and then only he/she can apply the admit cards are despatched according to the merit in graduation level only then you can apply for the examination for custom services whose notification is duly published in the employment newspaper and is conducted once in a year but there are many other private companies which offet the same job under them and they ask for specific qualifications and they differ from company to company but mainly the exam requires mathematics, gk, english as the basic subjects on which the entire exam is based followed by interveiw and selection. i hope you decide in the right and positive direction. wish you sucess for more details write to me .bye

To be a customs officer, you have to appear for a civil service examination.
the minimum qualification of a civil service exam is minimum 50% at graduation level.

Therefore, first you must appear for the aforesaid exam, clear that, and then only you can be a customs officer.

A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any field. He or she must be over 18 years of age. They must not use any illegal drugs of any sort. The staff selection commission conducts a CGLE as to select qualified candidate in to the post.

In order to become a customs officer you must be Graduate with atleast 50% aggregate from a recognized University/ Institute. Moreover, to get job in this field, you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC organization in India. So dear please complete your Graduation in a recognised University in order to become A Customs officer.
