Qualification required to become a CID Officer?
Hello,
Can anyone tell me about the qualifications one must have to be a obtained for joining CID. I want to be a CID Officer. Please help me in this regard. |

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT (CID)
There is some eligibility criteria to apply this exam which are as follows... *The candidates should be an Indian citizen. *The Age must be within 20 to 27 years (relaxation of 5 years for ST/SC & 3 years for OBC). *The candidates should have completed his/her graduation in any specialization from a recognized College/University. *The physical details: **Minimum Height should be 165 cm. **Minimum chest should be 76 cm. CID i.e Criminal Investigation Department and this is a crime detection agency under the govt of India.
For the Law job post : you should have passed the bachelor degree in LAW with at least 55% marks from any recognized university. For the Investigation post : you should have passed the bachelor degree with at least 55% marks. Age limit: Age must be between the 21 to 29 years. Age relaxation as per government rules. Nationality: Indian citizen. Physical requirement : Height : 162 cms Chest : 82 cms |

In order to become a CID officer, you are required to crack the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination which is conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission. For this you must be graduate in any discipline. Your age must be with 18-27 years. You should be Indian national. First you have to crack Tier I exam and thereafter Tier II exam and lastly skill test/interview.

To become CID officer, you must qualify the Indian Civil Services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). CID means Crime Investigation Department which comes under the government of India.It investigates the criminal cases in the country.
The candidates must write the UPSC exams which are every year.There are two types of posts under CID,they are: 1.Constable post. 2.Sub Inspector post and higher officer posts. The Eligibility details of the constable post are as follows: * Candidates must have completed 10th or 12th with atleast 55% to 60% of marks. * Must have 18 years of Age. * Maximum 30 years of age for General category students. * Age relaxation is provided for Reserved categories. * 5 years for SC/ST categories. * 3 years for OBC categories. * 10 years for PH categories. The Eligibility details of the SUB-Inspector post are as follows: * Candidates must have completed graduation from any reconized university. * Must have 21 years of Age. * Maximum 30 years of age for General category students. * Age relaxation is provided for Reserved categories. * 5 years for SC/ST categories. * 3 years for OBC categories. * 10 years for PH categories. There are three exams conducted.They are: 1. Written test. 2. Physical test. 3. Interview. |
