Default Re: Relation between Agronomy and Horticulture?

Agronomy is science that deals with application of knowledge of soil and crop to crop production. It is more effective than ordinary agriculture. It is combination of two words Agro which means agriculture and nomos which means "means to manage". The main objective of Agronomy is to increase benefits of farmers and at same time protect environment and atmosphere.

On other hand Horticulture is science of growing fruits and vegetables. It is done on smaller scale as compared to Agronomy. The relation between Agronomy and Horticulture is that horticulture is done on small scale but it is a type of agriculture practice in field of Agronomy.
