is it required to get 30% marks in each subject however the total is above 50%

Yes it is required to get at least the passing marks in each subjects for continuing your further studies. The overall marks does matter but it is the secondary thing primary thing is passing mark in each subjects.
For different boards the passing marks may be different as it is 33 marks for the CBSE board, 40 marks for the ICSE board and 30 marks for many State boards. Also if a paper consists of practical paper and theory paper one has to at least secure the minimum passing marks in both paper to pass in that particular subject. |
