The minimum qualifying marks of Common Proficiency Test, as per the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is 50% marks.
In order to qualify with distinction, candidates needs to score a minimum of 70% .
The test comprise of 200 marks and in order to qualify it, one must score a minimum of 100 marks (50% of 200).
The 200 marks is allocated to four sections as follows:

• Fundamental of Accountancy:60 Marks
• Mercantile Law:40 Marks
• General Economics:50 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude:50 Marks

i have taken the form for cpt. i completed 1st pu and now goin to 2nd pu... can i write the exam next year... tat is after my 2nd pu exam?

IAM A CLASS 11 STUDENT AND I HAVE TAKEN COMPUTER SCIENCE GROUP, BUT MY PLAN IS TO DO CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT SO WHEN SHOULD I START STUDYING FOR MY CPT EXAMS AS I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE COMMERCE SUBJECT.
SO KINDLY REPLY WITH A GOOD SUGGESTION.

Is it necessary to get a minimum passing marks in all subjects...here SP students have problem in maths subject so most of the students also skip maths subject...so fr them itz really difficult to tackle with maths...so plz kindly reply with gud suggestions...thanku

as the qualifiying marks has changed to 120 marks ..........is it correct or not....many no of students have quarries onit .please mention in the above information .according to the latest updates .............:)

If student get 63.25 in the first session.. is this 63 or 64..while counting grand total marks..?
