sir i want to do MDS from USA.......so what are the requirment to go in USA and how to applyplease tell me......

If you wish to complete MDS course from United States. First step would to be appear in NBDE exam and pass it with flying colors. National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) is the dental examination of United States for candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate course in dental specialities.

There are two parts of the NBDE exam.

NBDE 1

1. Human Anatomy, Embryology, and Histology
2. Biochemistry and Physiology
3. Microbiology and Pathology
4. Dental Anatomy and Occlusion.

NBDE 2

1. Endodontics
2. Operative Dentistry
3. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Pain Control
4. Oral Diagnosis
5. Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry
6. Patient Management, including Behavioral Science, Dental Public Health and Occupational Safety
7. Periodontics
8. Pharmacology
9. Prosthodontics

Most universities in United States accept the score of NBDE 1 to give admission to candidates. There are very few universities that require both NBDE 1 and NBDE 2 score for admission. Therefore you can appear in only NBDE 1 exam. However if you can appear in both exams that would be great. I would recommend you to pass the both exams.

After passing NBDE exam students of India would also require to appear in TOEFL/IELTS because our native language is not English.

Test Of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL is conducted to check the ability of students to use and understand English if the language English is your foreign language. This test is must in most cases for students who are planning to study abroad. More than 8,000 institutes around the world requires you to appear in TOEFL exam.

There are total of 8 centers in India to appear in TOEFL exam. The exam is 4 hours long and consists of four sections:

Listening Section
Structure Section
Reading Section
Writing Section

If you scored good in the TOEFL and the NBDE exam, you can apply for MDS course from any good university in United States. These universities include:

Boston University

Loma Linda University

University of Iowa

University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus

v cant join mds with out nbde ? easy to get visiting visa ? plz sir reply me

i am from nepal n pursuing BDS from Kathmandu University School of Medical Science...can i also apply for the NBDE exams??

sir can i practice in USA on basis of MDS degree from india if nbde is still compulsory, will i have to do DDS also or have to just clear the licensure exam only..??

sir..i was wondering if we could practice after doing MDS in USA directly after BDS ( from other than USA ) or we have to do the DDS in USA? is LICENSE exam and MDS course will let us practise there or do we have to do DDS before MDS in USA? thank you ..

i have had completed MDS from india, i want to proceed with MSD or MS in usa so what will be the criteria for admission

1) Do we need to clear nbde(I & II) ???
2) do we need to have green card or us citizenship at the time of admission???
3) do the international dentist get the scholarship for msd in usa and how????
4) which all university provide MSD or MS program for international dentist and in which subjects???

can u pls tell me the universities which allow admission based on nbde part 1?
