what are the job oppurtunities in IAF after msc in physics??
do we get an opurtunity there to research??

No.........!

There is no any research job available in either of defence services even if someone is a p.hd holder.

Thats because all the research activities and R & D regarding all the 3 defence services are carried out by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

However, being a M.sc (Physics) graduate various types of Ground Duty in IAF are availale for you.

Administration Branch:The main work associated with this is Air Traffic Control.

Fighter Controller: The main work associated with this is to manage the Radars.

Logistic Cadre: The main work associated with this is to control all the Aircraft Equipments, Resources etc. means we can compare it with HR head.

Education Qualification : If you have 50% aggregate in your M.sc then you are eligible to apply for it.

Selection: Are based on a written test, a Mental ability test followed by medical fitness test.

Notification: Are released in Employment News from time to time as and when there is vacancy basically in the month of March and September. So keep reading it.

In IAF, after getting through their exam you can get into research provided
if there are any vacancy.
Permanent / Short Service Commission
As an Aeronautical Engineer in the Electronics stream, you will be responsible for the communication and signals required on the Air Force station. You will also be in charge of the execution of preventive maintenance and servicing of aircraft. With further in-service training, you could also move to the repair and overhaul divisions of the Indian Air Force.
To join the Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) stream you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Age
18 to 28 years*
Marital Status
Single
Nationality
Indian
Gender
This is applicable to both men and women.
Educational Qualification (Aeronautical Engineer – Electonics)
First division (60% & above)
BE / B.Tech in Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical / Electrical Communication / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Computer Science & Engineering or a combination of these subjects. OR

Diploma in Electronics of Madras Institute of Technology OR

B Tech in Radio Physics and Electronics / Optics and Opto Electronics OR

MSc Degree in Physics (With Electronics) / Electronics / Computer Science / Computer Application / MCA with Maths, Physics and Electronics at graduation level or MSc. Tech in Electronics and Radio Engineering OR

Section A&B Examination of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institute of Engineers (India) in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunication subjects OR

if you want to serve our country then you have to face these exams-CDS UES SSC NDAbut if you want to establish a research programe then sorry for that there is no option for you.

You can apply for following entrance exams:

CDS which is conducted every year by upsc for entry to airforce,navy and army,details regarding examination will be released in employment news,or
visit upsc's official website
www.upsc.gov.in

UES : university entry scheme is a scheme for graduates to entry into defense,you have to pass entrance ans ssb interview and medical test for it.

there are several mode of entries to airforse as well defense like technical entry scheme etc,you can get all the

i am presently doing M.Sc physics (final semester). And my B.Sc subjects were physics, electronics and mathematics...what are my chances of getting into Indian air force in Ground duties??
in B.Sc my aggregate is around 68% and in my masters its around 73%.
