i am minu chandra of 2nd mbbs in pinnamaneni siddartha medical college.i got 74% in my first year.due to my family's financial status,i want to apply for scholarship.so, please kindly help me by providing relevant information regarding how to apply for scholarship and all other details and whether i am eligible or not.

dear friend, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has announced 450 Scholarships for meritorious students all over India, under the IndianOil Scholarships Scheme for the academic year 2009-2010.

450 scholarships covering the first year students of 10+ / MBBS Out of the total 450 scholarships, MBBS (40) students will be awarded scholarships @ Rs. 2000/- per month for four years......Minimum 15 years and maximum 30 years as on 1.9.2007. Persons born between 1.9.77 and 1.9.92 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

i have got seventy five percent in second year 2011

the eligibility criteria to get the scholarship is provided below :

Stream SP (Medicine): Students joining First / Second Professional year of MBBS/B.V.Sc/BDS/B.Pharma program during the academic year 2011-2012. Students must have passed XII Standard Board Examination with 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in Science subjects or passed First Professional MBBS/B.V.Sc/BDS/B.Pharma exam with not less than 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks. A Copy of the Bio – Medical research project is required along with the application.

Note for Students applying for the scholarship (MBBS)

KVPY application requires the report of a project, chosen and executed by the applicant and supervised by a teacher/professional in the relevant field, to be submitted along with the application. Based on the project submitted and scrutiny of application forms, short listed candidates will be called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection procedure. The interview will be conducted at IISc., Bangalore. Application without the Bio-Medical project report will not be considered.

The project should not be a routine one (such as measuring a well known property of a material). Applicant's creativity and originality should be amply reflected in the project. The supervising teacher/professional is required to provide two recommendation letters on the form (supplied along with the application form) certifying the extent of the applicant's original contribution to the project.

if you are eligible then you have to send in the application and the sit for the exam and if qualify in that exam then you get the scholarship ::

what kind of bio medical project are required if you could give some examples?

Friend YOU can apply for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (kvpy) which provides rs.5000 or more monthly if you pass this Kvpy test which is held on every July of the year

i smreen naaz student of MBBS 3 rd year from shadan medical college, peeranchru, rajendra nagar mandal, ranga reddy district with registration no.Date of Registration:23/08/2011, and i also send all documents by couriers, so i am eligible or not for this scholarship because so far no information has been received from the corporation. Yes Mina, you are absulutely eligible foe mbbs scholarship, but you not mention category and caste, if you are belong with any caste state government scholarship will get where you native state? In your zilla parishad there is district social welfare department present you can go and contact to officers and get more infirmation.
