There is scope for the teaching area after MBA. You can attend the NET/SET exam. This will help you to get in to the teaching field. You can join as lecturers in government colleges or universities if you qualify in the exam. You need to score at least 55% of marks in the post graduation to attend this exam.

I will not recommend school teaching profession, however you can apply for college lectureship. This would be a better option. You will have to appear for the National Eligibility Test by the University Grants Commission to become college lecturer in government universities.

Alternatively you can also apply for the State Eligibility Test which is conducted by the education board of each state in the country. Since you have completed post graduation, college lectureship is a better option.

NET exam is conducted on bi-annual basis. You can apply for it in June or December. Below is the eligibility criteria required to appear for National Eligibility test. Please remember that the criteria for NET and SET exams is the same.

Eligibility

1. You must be citizen of India.

2. Post graduation degree in any discipline from a UGC recognized university.

3. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation.

4. SC/ST must secure minimum of 50 percent marks in post graduation.

5. Students in final year of post graduation can also apply.

6. However such students should be able to submit their post graduation degree within 2 years of appearing for NET.

7. The NET subject you choose should be relevant to your post graduation degree.

8. There is no restriction on number of attempts.

Age Limit

1. The age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years.

2. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

3. SC/ST candidates gets 5 years relaxation.

4. There is no upper age limit if applying for college lectureship.
