If you are pursing in the final year of degree course may eligible to apply for TANCET MCA Entrance examination or after passing degree candidate may also eligible to apply for this examination.

TANCET Stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test and this examination is conducted by Anna University every year for admission M.C.A,M.B.A,M.E,M.Tech,M.Arch,M.Plan course.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA :-

The candidate need to completed graduate degree in any discipline of recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply and the candidate must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks(45% aggregate marks for reserved categories)

Syllabus for MCA examination :-

• Quantitative Ability
• Analytical Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Computer awareness ,verbal activity,basic science...etc.

The application forms is available in two modes :- 1)Spot Registration 2)Internet Registration.

If you are interested to Register TANCET Application then you have a following documents to fill the TANCET Application forms.

Spot Registration :-

• Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet
• Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate
• Cash (or) Demand Draft.
• The SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu have to produce a copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) for availing fee concession.

Internet Registration :-

• Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet
• Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate
• Demand Draft.
• An attested copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) issued by the competent authority of Government of Tamilnadu (for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu).

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test - T.A.N.C.E.T.

Here generally the following three programs are done :

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA)
2. Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
3. M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.

1. M.B.A. and M.C.A. :

The candidate applying for T.A.N.C.E.T. M.B.A. / M.C.A. should be a graduate from a recognized university of any discipline. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation course can also apply for T.A.N.C.E.T. M.B.A. / M.C.A.. In the case of T.A.N.C.E.T. M.C.A., the candidate should have studied statistics/mathematics at their diploma/+2 level or graduation.

2. M. Tech / M.E :

The candidate should be a B. Tech / B.E graduate in the respective disciple, in which the candidate wishes to do M. Tech / M.E. Even candidates in the final year of their graduation course can also apply for T.A.N.C.E.T. examination.

3. M. Plan / M. Arch :

The candidate should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in planning/architecture. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation/post-graduation course can also apply.

TANCET - TAMILNADU COMMON ENTRANCE TEST is conducted for admission to top colleges for MCA(MASTER IN COMPUTER APPLICATION), MBA, M.TECH., M.ARCH. etc. course.

Those who has either appeared for final graduation degree in BCA or any other strem or passed with 50% marks, is eligible to apply for TACCET MCA. The candidate from any other stream other then BCA should have Mathematics as one of the subject during 12th or Graduation level.in order to be eligible to apply for MCA. There is no age limit for admission to MCA course.

The application form can be obtained in both off line and on line mode.

Also a candidate should have Mathematics/Statistics at 10+2 level/Diploma or Graduation or Candidates in their final year/awaiting their results can also apply for TANCET MCA course.

The Candidates who have done their bachelor’s degree after doing their diploma can also apply.

Distance mode candidate are not applicable for TANCET exam.

Their is no age criteria for TANCET exam.

you should atleast appear for this commen entrance test for admission to master level exams so that if you don’t have any other option u still have back up .Admission to common test is from 31 march 2012.

For joining in MCA through TANCET exam you must have some eligibility criteria. They are as follows.

1. You need to completed graduate degree in any discipline of recognized

2. Even final year students of degree course are eligible to apply.

3. You must have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks(45% aggregate
marks for reserved categories)

Thus after passing BCA you are eligible for appearing in TANCET exam and joining MCA through that provided that you have at least 50% aggregate marks.

The date of commencement of the TANCET exam for MCA course is 31st march 2012..

when will you issue counseling form mba and mca in 2012?

I have completed 2 in pure science group.(physics,chemistry,botony and zoology).There is no maths.Do i eligible to study BCA?My planning is to study MCA.For MCA Maths in 2 is mandatory or BCA is enough?

I have completed my BCA. And I have done my BCA in ignou. I could not appear for TANCET exam. Is there any way for me to do my MCA in a regular college?
