Thumbs up Re: Should I send the documents of OBC(Non Creamy Layer) with IIT JEE form?

hello friend

there's no need to send the documents of OBC you just need to mention in the form but there's no actual need to send the proofs for it hopefully after getting rank in iit jee you will be called for counselling then you have to produce the orginal forms which you have mentioned in the application form

the obc documents will be only useful at the verification stage

all the best for your exam

No there is no need to send OBC document with IIT-JEE form . but in case you cracked the IIT-JEE then you will have to show the original document in councelling. so ,don't worry .just prepare for your exam. good luck.

Dear,

The necessary documents that you need to with the OMR application form are:

1. your photograph with your signature on the form

2. Duly attested photocopy of your 10th class or equivalent examination pass
certificate

3. For SC/ST candidates, an attested copy of caste certificate

4. Write your application number in copies of all certificates that you enclose

5. Request letter for enlarged font question papers

So no documents are needed for NCL(non creamy layer )

best of luck for your exam

Hi,

You need to send only 10th class passing certificate copy and your form. Only SC\ST students have to send their caste certificates as they got the form with less fees.

I have been appointed as scale 1 officer in Regional Rural Bank in a pay scale of 1000-30-1300-40-1500-50-1800-60-1860 in 1984 and still working as scale 1 officer with a annual income of less than Rs. 4.5 lacs. I require a obc certificate for my son for admission in IITJEE. I have approached the Tehsildar but he has told me to produced a certificate from my Bank that my pay scale is not equal to the Group One officer without which it will not be possible to issue the non creamy layer certificate of OBC.

No, there is no need of obc certificate submitting with iit jee form. The original certificates of all documents that you have mentioned in the form are needed at the time of counciling after your selection.

Dear Friend,

If it is written in the form to attach the documents of the OBC certificate then you should attach the documents with the form else you don't need to attach any of the document unnecessary any document.
Generally any document is not needed to attach with the form. Your certificates will be verified at the examination hall or at the time of your admission.

Best Wishes.....

I have received my IIT Admit Card. There is a brochure along with it. The last line states that "Candidates belonging to OBC(NCL)-minority category who wish to avail 4.5% reservation in seats are required to submit an undertaking so as to reach us on or before April 01, 2012. "
I belong to the Muslim Minority group. What does the word 'UNDERTAKING' actually refer to in the above sentence. So, do I have to send my caste certificate to the Chairman of IIT, Madras or does it refer to something else? The last date is near for submission.

Please reply asap!
