sir please tell me what is the starting salary of a bank po and how will be the career developement regarding the promotions and the salary increments please guide me .. i dont know any thing about it

can anybody tell me if i joined today as a po in a govt bank ....... then after how much duration can i apply for promotion as a bank manager ......... as because sitting as a bank po with salary of only 25000 in todays world is frustating !! one needs to get promoted soon as increase the salary ..... if a govt bank dont offer promotion chances after one year ..... then go hell with govt bank i rather go to icici bank with a starting salary of 30000 as asst manager and get promoted within 1 year of joining !! can anybody please tell me after how much time of joining as po one can apply for promotion in govt bank .... i am eagerly waiting for an accurate reply from some wise soul !!

Anyone who is a graduate a recognized University is eligible for appearing in the Bank PO Exams conducted by various banks..

If you clear the exam..then you shall get the job of a Provisional Officer whose starting salary shall be around rs 40,000/- or so..

You are expected to get promotions in regular intervals and the perks and incentives that you will get will also be good..

The salary and the frequency of promotion shall vary from bank to bank..
