You can not become Deputy Commissioner of Police directly.

First you should join Police Services as Assistant Superitendent of Police then after certain years of experience you will be promoted to this post.

Recruitment to IPS is done through Civil Services. You should acquire minimum qualification of bachelor's degree to become eligible for Civil Services exam.

Minimum age limit is 21 years.
