Which stream to choose for Higher Secondary in order to study Fashion Designing courses at graduate level?
I want to go for Fashion Designing courses at graduate level. So, after my 10th board exam which group stream will be easy and suitable for Fashion Designing studies later on?

The eligibility to get admission in bachelor of fashion designing course is that candidate must have passed 12th or diploma from a recognised board.
For B.F.Tech course - Candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. B.Des - Candidate must have passed 12th in any discipline. So,you can select the course as per your interest. Entrance examination is conducted by various institutes for admission in the course. |

The eligibility to get admission in Fashion Designing course is :-
B.Des - Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board. B.F.Tech - Candidate must have passed 12th in PCM. Entrance examination is conducted for admission in Fashion designing course. You can focus on the syllabus of examination to get admission in premier institute of the course. |

The required stream to pursue in 11th and 12th varies with course you want to pursue.
For B.Des there is no limiation on discipline and you can pursue any stream. For Bachelor in Fashion Technology it is compuslory that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. So, you can select the stream taking in consideration about your future planing. |

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. NIFT conducts entrance examination for selection of candidates to Bachelor of Fashion designing course. The qualification required for B.Des course is higher secondary board passed from a recognized board in any stream. In case of Bachelor of Fashion technology course, physics and mathematics subjects are necessary.
You must select stream depending upon your interest to become eligible for NIFT entrance examination. |

The eligibility criteria for National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam for Bachelor of Designing course:
Senior secondary board passed in any stream like arts, science or commerce stream. You are free to choose any stream of your choice. Minimum age limit for B.Des course is 17 years. |

You can pursue any of the stream in 10+2 board exam as because any particular stream is not mentioned anywhere to pursue Fashion Designing.
After completing 10+2 you have to clear NIFT to pursue Bachelor degree in Fashion Designing. |

As far as you are concerned about the selection of stream for higher secondary school degree course in order to pursue degree course in fashion designing later then you must not worry regarding the same as for pursuing any designing course ( except Bachelor of Fashion Technology for which PCM is must at Class 12th level ) there is no compulsion of any subject at any stage of academics and therefore you can opt for any stream for your higher secondary school degree as per your interest, strength, and other career options in your mind.
