In which stream should we completed our graduation to pursue M.Sc Agriculture?


Sir, I am doing B.Sc Biotech after completion of my course can I do M.Sc Agriculture or what are the entrance exam should I attend to do M.Sc Agriculture?

No, you are not eligible to pursue M.Sc in Agriculture. The eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in agriculture, horticulture or forestry.

The minimum required aggregate to appear varies with institutes.

So, you are not eligible to appear in the entrance examination for appearing in the examination.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc in Agriculture:

1. You must have done bachelor's degree in agriculture or horticulture or forestry from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for exam.

2. Candidate should have minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree.

You must apply for ICAR Exam for admission in top agriculture colleges of India.

Requirements for Master of Science in Agriculture course:

Academic qualification: B.Sc in agriculture, horticulture, forestry.

Minimum percentage of marks required: 50%.

You can not apply for M.Sc in agriculture with B.Sc Biotech.

For admission in M.Sc Agriculture course the required educational qualification is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in agriculture, horticulture etc..

So, you are not eligible to appear for examination to get admission in M.Sc Agriculture course.

Entrance examination is conducted for admission in the institute.

The criteria to pursue Master's degree in Agriculture course:

*The bachelor's degree should have been done in streams like agriculture, science, biotechnology, forestry, horticulture.

*You can apply for M.Sc in agriculture after doing Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology.

You can select streams like agriculture, biotechnology, forestry, horticulture etc in order to pursue Master of Science in Agriculture course.

In final year of bachelor's degree, you can apply for Master of Science in agriculture. ICAR approved colleges are considered as good for Master of Science in Agriculture.

In recent years, agriculture related course has large number of courses.

Any particular stream is not declared to pursue M.Sc.
If you are interested to pursue M.Sc then after completing graduation from any of the stream you are allowed to pursue Maser’s in Agriculture without any objection.
You have to clear entrance examination conducted by college to get admission.

The entrance examination is conducted by colleges and institutes for admission in the course, But candidates with Biotech are not eligible to appear in the examination.
