Default Re: Which subject is best for UPSC in optional history

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. It conducts Civil Services examination for different services like IAS, IRS, IPS, IFS etc. Candidates from all disciplines of bachelor's degree are eligible to apply for this examination. The age limit for general candidates is 21-32 years. Upper age of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.

Scheme of this examination:

>>The first stage of this examination is Preliminary examination. This stage has two papers, first paper is of general studies paper and second paper is Civil Services Aptitude Test. Those who clear this stage, become eligible for Mains exam.

>>Mains exam has nine papers, first two are compulsory language papers, then essay paper and four general studies paper and last two are two papers from your optional subjects. Last stage is interview.

Now, candidates have to choose only one optional subject and from which two papers are conducted. If you wish to choose History as optional subject then there is no need to select any paper for optional along with History.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
