Hello.
A student of cs branch cannot appear for ies. If you still want to give ie, then you would have to select som other engineering branch. Being an electronics engineer, i would like to suggest that you might opt for electronics branch to give this exam;reason being that there a few subjects that are common to both computer science and electronics, such as data structures, networks, switching theory and logic design, etc.i hope you have got the suitable reply to your enquiry.

dear friend,

I am sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for applying to the IES exam.
This UPSC conducted exam is only for the branches of ME/Civil/EE/ECE.

So you are not eligible to sit in the exam.
Good luck!

You are eligible to site for the exam but you wont able to take computer science as your subject since its not in the list for IES exam

The branches are
Electronics and Telecomm
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering

So you have to chose one of them. Let me tell you it will be tough to study an alien subject but somehow you can manage it since computer science is closely related to electronics and telecommunication. So you can take this subject as your choice

best of luck

Dear friend

i want to tell you that you are eligible to appear in the exam of the IES,as minimum

eligibility to become an IES officer, you must have BTech degree in any discipline.

But friend, in the exam of IES , there is no subject in the syllabus of IES related to

computer science,so you have to choose subject from ECE, EE or mechanical.

you can also choose subject like physics, math, chemistry.

your age should be less than equal to 30 year.

best of luck.
