Is there any age restriction to join NCC?

Hi, I am a male candidate and I have completed my 12th Board exams at the age of 17th years and now pursuing my 1st year of BCA. Now, I also wants to get into NCC. So, could anybody please tell me if I am eligible at this age or not? If yes, then how can I join NCC?

To be eligible for joining NCC, you must possess following things:
  • Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal
  • Having good moral character
  • Qualify medical standards
  • Studying in recognized educational institution

As your age is 17 years so you will have to apply for Junior Division/Wing of NCC. Hence you will have to fill up Form II and apply towards Headmaster of the school.

If the Headmaster is satisfied with your application and enrollment form, then he/she will proceed you for further medical examination. At last, you will have to sign in Declaration form II in the presence of your guardian.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
