CID stands for the Crime Investigation Department and to become an officer in the CID. The aspirants need to qualify in the Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC every year.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university.
* Candidates age must be between 21-30 years and the relaxation for the reserved category as per government rules.

The examination is conducted in the Written and the Interview and the candidates need to qualify in both the stages for the final selection. There are some physical fitness also for the selection.

To get any more information about the examination visit at the www.upsc.gov.in
