Hi, my daughter scored 96% in ICSE Board exams. What are the scholarship options available for her to fund the cost of further studies? Any government scholarship program for female candidates? What about scholarships provided by privately?

1. AICTE Pragati Scholarships for Girls -
This scholarship promotes girl education in India. AICTE offers a scholarship to female students who want to pursue higher education in the technical field. AICTE awards Rs. 30,000 per annum each to 4,000 girls every year.

Applications for the AICTE Pragati scholarships start in the month of August/September every year and AICTE does not conduct any entrance test for the scholarship.

Eligibility -
The candidate who are in their 1st year of the diploma or degree courses from any of the AICTE approved colleges are eligible for this.
In case the candidate is selected for the tuition fee waiver, the amount of Rs. 30,000/- maybe reimbursed to the candidates through reimbursement for the purchase of books, vehicles, laptops, and desktops.

2. Maulana Azad National Scholarships Scheme for girls -
This scholarship is provided to only girls who belongs to minority community (Eg - Muslim, sikh, Jains, bhuddist, Parsis, Christians)
