I HAVE DONE MY 10TH AM I ELIGIBLE FOR ARMY.. AND WHAT ABOUT FURTHER STUDIES? SHOULD I DO IT WHILE SERVING IN ARMY

Dear Aspirant

One can join Indian Army through NDA & CDS.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service.


Qualification require to join Indian Army via NDA:-

• You should be 12th passed in any stream/subjects.
  
• You can also apply for NDA while appeared/Appearing in 12th.
  
• Your Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.
  
• You should be Male & Unmarried.
  
• Must be an Indian National.

>>If you possess above qualification then you need to appear in NDA entrance Exam conducted every year by UPSC as NDAI & NDA II.


Important Dates for NDA Exam 2102:

NDA Exam I
Notification Announced : 31/12/2011

Last date to apply : 30/01/2012

Examination date : 15/04/2012.

For NDA Exam II

Date of Notification : 05/05/2012

Last Date of Submission of Application form : 04/06/2012

Commencement of Examination : 19/08/2012




Qualification require to join Indian Army via CDS:-

• You should be Graduate degree holder in any discipline.
  
• You are also eligible while in final year of qualifying exam.
  
• Your Age should be between 19 to 24 years.
  
• You should be Unmarried Male.
  
• You should be Indian citizen.

>>If you possess above qualification then you need to appear in CDS entrance Exam conducted every year by UPSC as CDSI & CDS II.

CDS Exam I

Notification Announced : 29/10/2011

Last date of Submission of Application form : 21/11/2011

Examination date : 29/01/2012.

CDS Exam II

Date of Notification : 02/06/2012

Last Date of Submission of Application form : 02/07/2012

Physical standard required for Indian Army

Indian Army can be joined basically through two ways:-

NDA and CDS

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years, can apply for Indian Army of NDA.

The registration process for NDA-I has already been over, the exam will be held on 15.04.2012.

NDA-II 2012 exam notification will come out on 05.05.2012, the last date to submit application form is 04.06.2012 followed by exam on 19.08.2012.

CDS-COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or Pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years, can apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS.

The CDS-I exam has already been over on 29.01.2012.

CDS-II 2012 exam notification will come out on 02.06.2012, the last date of submission of Application Form is 02.07.2012 followed by exam on 16.09.2012.

In you want to join Indian Army then you can apply after passing 12th
then you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, PUNE

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

If you want to join Indian after passing graduation then you have to qyalify the C.D.S exam.

COMBINE DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
The age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year.

Basically there are two types of entries for joining Indian army, one is as an officer and other is as JCO.
Depending the type there are various entry examination. for officer rank you can opt NDA after passing 12th and after passing graduation there exists basically two modes of entries viz. Tech and non.tech.
If you possess technical qualification then you can opt for tech like ssc(tech), UES entry etc and for non-tech you can go through CDS held twice every year.
