Are we supposed to concentrate in securing knowledge or we should go behind scoring marks and getting places in some reputed institute????

Hi dear, you have to just focus on securing knoeledge because if you knowlege than any company will come to you.otherwise you have to go for company.you have run behind excellance.And dont worry about success because if you have skill Than success will come to you

Gaining knowledge and securing high percentages both recure for making best placement in any best company.only securing highest marks , you can't stay with any company for longer time thatwhy you need both.

if you secure good knowledge then i think you are going to get good marks ,
more over in the long term its the knowledge that matters not the marks,
i think you should concentrate on having both.
because for getting job marks are important and for getting value in your job knowledge

hey definitely.......importance is around concept but not marks.....that's why they just keep cut off mark but see....a 75% student is equal to 90% student to them........so try to gain concept not marks........

securing knowledge is the most important thing in life
whatever we learn, definitely helps in the future, also, good marks are generally the result of proper knowledge
marks do matter but in the long run one realizes that proper knowledge about is what takes a person higher

Knowledge is the key to any success and Job is the gate opened after getting success.

Getting placed in some good company is possible if you are good

with practical knowledge and you have averagely good marks.

You need to have a hybrid of both knowledge and marks.

Be good at both.

I think if your practical knowledge is good then during exams you can easily

secure 70-80%. So first focus on your knowledge and during exams do hard

work to get marks.

in my companies more focuss on ur knowledge by testing in many way after that they see ur marks.
U should just focuss on getting true knowledge after that marks will also come and no one can stop u in getting topn companies.

i think that both the things are important,if we dont have the knowledge that it is not possible to take any of the job,moreover having knowledfge and not using it in proper time has no use.

Iam a Final year B.Tech Computer Science Student , so I can understand . Yours is a very common thought , but as a matter of fact , this is something which can only do harm on us . You know , the world chooses the BEST . So even if you have talents to win the battle , you need good academic score to get into the Battle field & GOD's grace to win it . You just concentrate on your studies , I mean SECURING KNOWLEDGE , then good MARKS will follow and then finally good JOBS and OPPORTUNITY will follow you.... This is a genuine question.One cannot be allowed to enter the interview hall if that student has no cutoff percentage.And the student with cutoff percentage entering the interview hall should not be confident to get the job without proper knoweldge.
on the whole,marks and knowledge are both interlinked.
However,a student with good knowledge gains good marks and thus good percentage.So,always try to bother about the knowledge by clearly understanding the concepts involed in the problems to hit the job

generally, at present no one was bothering about marks . A little bit of common sense was very important to face an interview in a company. average marks can be sufficient to join any top most university or to join in any company but knowledge was very important.If you go through any campus interviews they will see your communication skills,your knowledge about subject,your behaviour ,your way of dressing ,your confedence levels ,your iq values,your grasping power. any company like tcs,wipro and infosis etc they take up the students who secure the marks above 70 percent but you should keep in mind that the student who secure above 90% marks may or may not get the job because lack of communication skills or any other factors that i mentioned above.my suggestion was concentrate on securing knwledge but not marks.

obviously knowledge is important. and if you have knowledge you will get both good marks and also admission in good institution and also good job of course.

but it sometime happens that it is not possible to secure good knowledge as well as marks also. actually i think it is not possible for any man to make good knowledge in each and every subject. i will suggest secure in knowledge in one subject in which you have interest. but study other subject for some knowledge and also for marks.


marks knowledge both are required to get job. marks is important to take admission in good institution. so do not think that knowledge is everything one side and next do not think marks is everything in another side. both are important and you should have both to go so far.

i think you should focus on gaining knowledge. you can get good marks and job as well if you have good knowledge. on the otherhand if you have secured good marks but you don't have knowledge then you will get job only for a shorter period of time.

firstly I must confess that i am a victim of this chicken or egg scenario. In my opinion marks are not a scale of knowledge it just means that you are good at the art of writing exams and filling pages (I personally know students who don't have a clue about the meaning of a sentence they have written for exams but still get good marks.They just BY HEART it. ). But whatever we may say the SYSTEM asks for marks and not knowledge. Knowledge will certainly help you if you are planning your own venture and add confidence to the mix and you are ready to make it BIG as many entrepreneurs are college dropouts. If you want to play safe MARKS really counts and will make it easy for u. What my point is that less marks are never the end of the road for anybody...PLEASE TRY TO BALANCE BOTH....

look knowledge is always considered either in a company or in any institute but as per your question I suppose in your are question you are asking about admission in any institute so you will have to face any competitive exam. for any competitive exam one always considered on the basis of his/her score in the relative exam either that score is scored on the basis of knowledge or on the basis of your extra capabilities it does not matter.

I know people who don't have good marks in their qualifying exams like 12th, AIEEE, BCA etc., but are currently placed in foreign e.g. Dubai, USA, Finland, Germany etc. by top companies. This is actually their advice

Place knowledge at supreme importance, because the most important part in the selection process is the interview, and you must not miss a technical question. Next, focus on aptitude, because it is definite that you shall be asked a few twisted questions. Finally, your marks, because the twisted questions shall most probably be asked in the subject you have least marks in. Don't let the marks fall too down, otherwise it will give a false impression of your knowledge.

College marks do not reflect your quality, no way! On the other hand, your first answer in your interview may make the mark. So gain knowledge, understand and apply first. Then focus on the tips and tricks of answering questions. Try to attain a respectable, if not a top, status in every subject [Respected Mr. JAMESS, this is possible]. But even if you fall in the average student group of your batch, don't lose control of your knowledge to excel in tests.

Your knowledge is helpful to scoring marks.
In the companies there is some steps for getting job so, these steps are not cleared without knowledge.

oviously knowledge yaar because now every company need skilled worker. you will easily get job if your marks are good but to retain that job ,you must have knowledge.

1)If you have the knowledge in Technical side, you will automatically get placed in the good company, only thing is that you should secure the basic mark ,what the company want.

2)Core company ask for the percentage of more then 70% with no History of Arrear

Dear friend getting knowledge is always more important than getting good marks. Companies select you on the basis of marks only because they feel that the candidates having good marks may also have good knowledge .but soon after providing job, they come to know that the person only possess good marks not good knowledge .then they just remove those candidates.
So,if you are looking forward to get only good marks not good knowledge then you are playing with your future. Only focus on getting knowledge and I believe you will also get good marks as well. Good luk

I think securing knowledge should have given top priority as If you have knowledge marks come behind you and job also run behind you if you gain knowledge!!

That mean is knowledge is topmost priority than anything else!!

my ans is very controversial.....because i think we should go for securing good marks then to knowledge....because if you are in a good institute and score maximum no one ask how much knowledge you have.. and... absolutely you are placed in good company...and also get an attractive package....but you know that in a good institute maximum students are extra ordinary.....to iska matlab ghum fir ke bat vahi hai.....

I think both are equally important.. Gaining a knowledge is very important to live in practical life and scoring good marks will be the proof.

both is necessary.As you would not get good marks then you will not be eligible to apply in the good company.If you secure good marks and you have no basic knowledge about your subject then you will not be able to clear the test of good company.Fortunately,By some means you get selected then you will not be able to survive there.
So,marks and knowledge, both are necessary.

One should always concentrate on gaining knowledge about the subject/discipline. Knowledge remains with a person throughout his life. It is due to the possession of knowledge that a person becomes successful in life.

But you must also focus on getting good marks or at least the minimum marks required to apply for any job/institute. In fact, if you have studied the subject properly you will always find it easier to get good marks in the exam.

My view about this point is : knowledge is something that we get after reading/studying a lot. and Intelligence is capability of understanding the things and is how much u can work it out. So, intelligence can vary from person to person and remains the same through out the life of human life. That is IQ.
Now , from your question I mean that having the subject knowledge will help you get scored good marks. But, the scored marks will depend on how u present the document, dedication to subject . So, many companies do see the scoring mark that u really pay time for the subject and hence looking for a minimum mark of 60% / 65% / 75% and a technical interview testing your subject knowledge.
If we r thorough with the subject knowledge we will get placed in best companies and reputed institutes
