MCA stands for Masters of Computer Applications. This is a post graduate course that is of 3 years duration and is highly regarded in the field of IT and Computer Science.

If you wish to do MCA, then there is a basic eligibility criteria that you need to satisfy. They are:

1. You should be a minimum graduate in ANY stream but with Mathematics as one of the subjects in your Class 12th / Graduation.

2. You should not have any back papers / back logs for your Class 12th boards / Graduation.

3. There are no age limits for taking up this education.

Now, some of the top Distance Education colleges offer MCA and here is a list of the same:

Bangalore University
University of Madras
Delhi University
Anna Malai University
IGNOU
ICFAI
Amity University

Out of these, IGNOU is the best one as its known as the largest distance education university in India and Asia as well. Thus, its quality and standards are really high. To know more about their program, Please Click Here

The costing would be around Rs. 9000 per semester. Therefore, for 6 semesters it would mean an investment of Rs. 54000/-

To take admission, you need to contact the college / university where you wish to enrol. Some of them may have some formalities such an entrance test etc. After successful completion of all that, being shortlisted and paying the fees you can join the MCA part time course.

However, in spite of all this I would still recommend that you take up a full time course and not go for part time. There is no difference between distance / correspondence education and they mean the same thing primarily. But consider yourself for a full time course as it would result in better output in terms of job and career.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
