Age criteria for male and female candidates remain same in case of Indian Administrative Services examination. Age limit for candidates of different category are:

1. General age criteria: 21-32 years.

2. OBC candidates: 21-35 years.

3. SC/ST candidates: 21-37 years.

Physically handicapped candidates get 10 years upper age relaxation. You need to do hard and smart study with full determination and dedication to clear this examination with good rank.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. UPSC conducts Civil Services examination for different services like IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc. The academic qualification required for Civil Services examination is bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for this exam.

The age limit for candidates of both sex male and female remain same. It is 21-32 years for candidates of general category. Three years upper age relaxation to OBC candidate and five years to SC/ST candidate.

You need to do good preparation to clear this exam. It is one of the toughest examination of India. Basic preparation can be done from NCERT books. You can join any good coaching institute for better preparation.

First thing I would like to let you know that IAS entrance examination is officially known as Civil Services examination and same examination is held by UPSC once every year.

--> The minimum criteria required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must hold the nationality of India.

* Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years if you belong to general category. Further there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

* You must have either completed your graduation degree course or must be in the final year of same degree from a recognized university.

As far as you are concerned about the special facility or provision for women candidates for in the eligibility criteria and preparation for Civil Services examination then for your information there is no such provision for women candidates.

For more queries regarding the same examination you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.
