NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test will be conduct for only lectureship , PHD and JRF .

If you have completed Masters degree from recognized university then you are applicable for NET exam .Required marks criteria for NET exam is 55% in masters degree.5% marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST candidate .Final year of Masters degree candidate can apply here .

There is a age criteria for Junior Research Fellowship .Your age should be below 28 years old. Age relaxation unto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC .For the post of Lectureship , There is no upper age limit .

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 450/-; for Other Backward Classes fee is Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs. 110/-.

NET - National Eligibility Test, is an entrance exam conducted by University Grant Commission(UGC) twice every year for selection of Lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship(JRF).

Eligibility Criteria for NET:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have completed Post Graduation Degree in any stream with 55% marks(50% marks for SC/ST Candidate) from a recognised University.
-There is no upper age limit for those applying for Lectureship but the candidate applying for JRF should be within the age of 28 years.

NET Exam is conducted for:
Lecturership
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)


Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is:
Post Graduation pass
Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates


Age Limit:
Lectureship-No age limit
JRF-maximum age to apply is 28 years
OBC/WOMEN/SC/ST candidates can apply till 33 years


Next NET exams would be conducted in December 2013

Dear Aspirant,


This exam is conducted for testing the the Indian Candidate on the bases of eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer post in the Indian Universities and Colleges........

NET stands for the National Eligibility Test. this exam is conducted by University Grant Commission twice time in year....

This exam is conducted for two post:

1). JRF and
2). Lecturer Post.

A candidate at least completed their Post Graduation degree in any Discipline or Master Degree in any field from UGC Recognized Universities can apply for this exam........

Required at least 55% if a candidate belong to general category.

Relaxation for SC/ST applicable on percentages that is 50% applicable.....

For the Junior Research Fellowship Post then your age should not Exist 28 years....

Age Relaxation apply for maximum 5 years on upper age for OBC/SC/ST category......

For Lecturer post No Age Limit.....


Exam Pattern:-


$$ Paper-I : Consists 60 Question out of which 50 are compulsory which consists 100 marks. Time Duration 1 1/4 hours....

$$ Paper-II : Consists 50 Question all are Compulsory consists 100 marks. Time Duration 1 1/4 hours.....

$$ Paper-III : Consists 75 Question consists 150 Mark. Time Duration 2 1/2 hours.....
