What is the cut-off to be eligible to write the CLAT entrance?

Hi, I have completed my BA in English and scored 43% in my finals. I would like to do LLB now for which I have to write the CLAT entrance. Am I eligible to apply and write the CLAT entrance with 43% in my Graduation? Or, is there any colleges from where I can do LLB directly on the basis of BA English without any entrance?

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an entrance exam for pursuing law courses in law colleges.

To be eligible for appearing in CLAT exam, you should have scored at least
  • 45% marks in 10+2 (for General, OBC, Specially abled persons)
  • 40% marks in 10+2 (for SC/ST)
Also, you must have completed 10+2 from a recognized Board then only you will be considered eligible for CLAT exam.

Since, you have completed BA in English, which is another bachelor course but you must have completed 10+2 before to be eligible for CLAT exam.

There are many law institutes that admit students through direct admission quota. There you need not to qualify any entrance exam.

I have listed below some of the law institutes of Mumbai where you can get direct admission.
  • Government Law College - Mumbai (GLC Mumbai)
  • Rizvi Law College (RLC)
  • Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law - Mumbai
  • Nalanda Law College-Mumbai
  • Padmashree Dr DY Patil College of Law- Mumbai
  • Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Law- Mumbai
  • Rajarshi Shahu College of Law- Mumbai
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
