CAT 2013 Dates :- CAT exam 2012-13 will be conducted from October 11, 2012 to November 6, 2012

CAT 2013 Eligibility:-

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

Common written exam (CAT) conducted annually by IIM.The registration procedure of applying is going on as you can apply for it till 19th September 2012 and the application fee is 1600/- for general and 800/- for SC/ST.

The total duration will be two hours and thirty five minutes and it will have only two sections.

Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

These two sections will be implemented sequentially with separate time limits. The examination will be 140 minutes. Candidates will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode has announced the exam dates for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 which will be held from October to November 2012.

Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2012:

>>The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by any of the recognized universities or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

>>Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting Results can also apply.

Paper Pattern for CAT 2012:

The test comprises two sections that are separately timed.
Each of the sections will be 1 hour and 10 minutes (i.e. 70 minutes).
There will be 30 questions in each section.
The sections are (a) Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (b) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.
Once a section ends, aspirants can no longer go back to it.
Aspirants will be presented with the section on Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation first, followed by Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

Important Dates:

Date of test: Thursday, October 11, 2012 to Tuesday, November 06, 2012.
Declaration of Results: Wednesday, January 09, 2013.
